Important security notice

Regulation (EC) 2320/2002 19th January 2003

If your operation falls within the following categories it is your duty to inform Cranfield Airport to ensure that the appropriate level of security is afforded to your flight(s):

Commercial aircraft of over 10 tonnes (MTOW) or more than 19 seats, scheduled or non-scheduled.

Flight activity rendered for hire or reward to the general public or private groups for valuable consideration, this includes situations where an aircraft is not owned by the operator and also where a person operating the aircraft is a part-owner and owns less than a 5% stake in the aircraft.

Travel Areas to and from the UK

The following areas are classed as EEC/EU or have an signed an agreement and require 4 hours notice of intended flight:

Austria
Belgium
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Holland
Iceland
Italy
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Norway
Portugal – not including the Azores
Spain – not including the Canary Islands
Sweden
Switzerland

The following areas are classed as the Common Travel Areas and require a minimum of 12 hours notice of intended flight:

Ireland
Channel Islands
Isle of Man

All non-EU countries require 24 hours notice of intended flight.
